What does Cavoo do?
Cavoo records or imports audio, transcribes the speech, labels different speakers, and creates an AI summary with key points and to-dos.
Is Cavoo available on iPhone and Android?
Yes. Cavoo is launching on both iPhone (App Store) and Android (Google Play).
Is Cavoo a voice recorder or a transcription app?
Both. Cavoo records like a voice recorder, transcribes speech in real time, and organizes it into notes with a summary and to-dos.
Transcription and speakers
What’s the difference between live and file transcription?
Live transcription turns speech into text while you record. File transcription converts audio you already have. Each plan includes separate minutes for both.
Can Cavoo tell different speakers apart?
Yes. Cavoo recognizes the different voices in a recording and labels each part of the transcript by speaker.
Can I transcribe recordings I already have?
Yes. Besides recording live, you can import audio files to get a full transcript and summary.
How can I get a more accurate transcript?
Record in a quiet place, keep the phone close to whoever is speaking, and try not to talk over each other.
AI summaries and to-dos
How is the AI summary created?
When a recording ends, Cavoo reads the transcript, writes a short summary of the key points, and lists the action items as to-dos.
What does a summary include?
A short overview, the key points and decisions, and a list of to-dos pulled from the conversation.
Where do the to-dos come from?
Cavoo picks out follow-ups mentioned in the conversation, such as tasks, deadlines and who will do them, and lists them as to-dos.
Account, sync and privacy
How do I sign in?
You can sign in with Apple or Google.
Can I use my recordings on more than one device?
Yes. Turn on cloud sync to open your recordings and notes on other devices. Cloud sync is included with Pro and Max.
Where are my recordings stored?
Recordings and notes are kept on your device. If you turn on cloud sync, they are also stored on Cavoo’s servers so you can open them on other devices.
Can I delete my data?
Yes. Deleting a note also removes its synced copy, and you can delete your account from your profile in the app. See the Privacy Policy for details.
Plans and pricing
How much does Cavoo cost?
Cavoo is free to download, and the Free plan includes 30 minutes of live transcription and 30 minutes of file transcription every month. Pro and Max add more minutes, cloud sync and note export.
Do unused minutes roll over?
No. Plan minutes reset each billing period. Pay-as-you-go minute packs never expire.
How do I cancel a subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by the App Store or Google Play. Cancel anytime in your store’s subscription settings; your benefits stay active until the end of the period.
Can I export my notes?
Yes. Note export is included with the Pro and Max plans.
